Peacock Angus Ranch cowherd has evolved into
one of the highest quality Red Angus herds south of Montana. We use
intense selection criteria in females retained in the herd, as well
as in bulls selected for use in our AI program. Cattle must be trouble
free calvers on a regular basis, and breed back on schedule for their
calving season. Most of our cows are bred for spring calves, January
through April with the remainder being bred for for Fall calves, September
and October.
Selection criteria includes structural
soundness, udder quality, disposition, eye-appeal, and individual EPD's.
Our cattle have been competitive in the major shows all over the country
with two National Champions and one Reserve National Champion in the
past three years. The EPD spreads in our cattle are as equally competitive.
We are co-operator herd with Leachman
Cattle Co. in Billings, Mt. and send bulls to their sale annually. Other
cattle are sold private treaty and at the ranch, or in other special
sales.
Our cattle are bred, raised, shown,
and sold with integrity. When you purchase cattle from us, you can be
sure of what you are getting and know they come guaranteed for your
satisfication.
We urge you to shop and compare. We
think that after you do, that you will agree the Peacock Angus Ranch
Red Angus are hard to beat however compared.
